What is a Navigator?
Navigators are designated people at each agency who are able to cut through barriers to resolve difficult situations when a client is in an unresolved crisis, when repeated requests for service have not been addressed, or when a client is repeatedly referred from agency to agency without action.
What Does Being a Navigator Involve?
Navigators will work together when difficult situations arise to bust through barriers (when possible) to get people housed. As your organization likely already has these types of relationships in an informal manner, participation in this agreement is not expected to be a substantial time commitment.
Navigators will also keep track of the types of barriers they regularly encounter and bring them to the attention of the team.
Will There Be Meetings?
Navigators will participate in a meeting with other Navigators on a set schedule to discuss barriers, solutions, and refinement of the Navigator process and will participate in the “Policy Change Process” through the Multi-Purpose Collaborative Body (MPCB) when barriers arise that the Navigators cannot overcome without policy change.
These meetings are held bi-monthy.

If your agency is interested in participating, please review the attached "Navigator Agreement". This is the agreement that your agency will be required to sign in order to designate a navigator.
