Project Connect 2010

What is Project Connect?

Project Connect is a day of assistance for families and individuals living in our community that are in need of services, ranging from a haircut to DHS applications, from resume building to housing services.  As a community we will come together and offer services at

a single location.

Why is this important?

Low-income households or those who find themselves homeless or at risk of homelessness often have more than one need to fulfill on their path to a stable situation.  Project Connect offers an opportunity for the community to create a welcoming environment where Kalamazoo County residents can address multiple barriers in a single day.

Imagine eliminating the transportation barrier for a day and allowing our neighbors to have instant access to upwards of 25 different services in a single day.  This could make a significant difference in the life of someone who is struggling to make ends meet.  This is Project Connect.

Who is Eligible?

Project Connect is free to anybody in Kalamazoo County that is in need of services.  Join us!

When Is the Event?

Project Connect will be May 12, 2010 at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center (Fairgrounds).
