The Ten Year Plan
The Goal:
Our long-term goal is to reduce dependence on a shelter- based strategy to one that builds broad-based community support through the promotion and establishment of safe, affordable, and permanent housing.
Purpose Statement: The Kalamazoo County Affordable Housing Partnership (AHP) is committed to assisting individuals and families who become homeless or who have special housing needs, to regain housing stability, self esteem, and quality of life. To this end, AHP will increase the inventory of and access to affordable housing in our community and serve as a clearinghouse of information regarding the range of homelessness prevention, housing, and supportive services available in our community.
Copies of the plan:
The Kalamazoo County Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness can be found at the bottom of this website page, available for download. It is important to note that due to the changing environment, some changes in priority and method have been made since the original plan was drafted in 2006.
All work teams are open membership. If you are interested in joining a team, we would love to meet you! To learn more about the teams that are working on the Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness, visit the Teams Page.
